Hollywood legend Steve McQueen's colourful love life is laid bare in new documentary, The Man and Le
FRIENDS and family of Hollywood legend Steve McQueen have revealed the lothario would have sex with up to two women in his lunch hour.
A new documentary movie, Steve McQueen: The Man and Le Mans, lifts the lid on the not-so-secret life and luck with the ladies despite getting married three times throughout his lifetime.

In a clip of the film released exclusively to The Sun Online, his friends and family revealed that The Great Escape actor was lured into the promise of free sex with fans during the height of his career.
Steve’s second wife, Neile Adams, explained: “When the flower children came along everything changed. Everything changed. He was almost 40 and there was suddenly free sex, and free love, and free this and free everything.”
“He said to me one day ‘I have to work so hard for love in this house, I can get it for free out there!’”

Neile was married to Steve from 1956-1972, and they had two children together, Chad and Terry McQueen.
However the lure of other women proved to be too tempting for the Hollywood A-lister – who has gone down in history as one of the ‘coolest’ people in Hollywood- and he would frequently find himself straying.

One pal reveals: “His conquest of women behind his wife’s back probably averaged about a dozen women a week- it was a little less than two a day.
“They wanted to say ‘I had sex with Steve McQueen’.”

The pair divorced in 1972 after a seventeen year marriage. He tied the knot with actress Ali McGraw the following year.
Another pal reveals: “He loved cars, liqueur, women, and he was interesting and cool and dangerous - you see, they liked the danger in him.”

“His trailer was never empty,” they added.
The film follows the incredible true story of how Steve risked his life and the lives of those closest to him in order to create his passion project, 1971's Le Mans.

In pursuit of the creation of his film, he ruined friendships, called time on his marriage and put his career at risk in the process.
Thankfully his career remained and he continued to work until his death from cancer caused by asbestos exposure on November 7, 1980.
Steve McQueen: The Man and Le Mans is out on DVD on Monday.
